I requetsed the Smiths "Stop Me If you Think You've Heard..." but it turns out today is Morrissey's birthday, so "Unhappy Birthday" is more likely.

1. Peter Wolf - Come As You Are

2. The Cure - Why Can't I Be You?

No 1 is certainly not a rarity, but always welcome. And this Cure tune isn't ringing any bells but I won't go so far as to call it a bustout. But a welcome alternative to their usual contributions.

3. PSBs - What Have I Done to Deserve This?
4. The Alarm - Rain in the Summertime

Three rarities to varying degrees, and then a big ol' LN.

5. Los Lobos - Come on, Let's Go

Nice shoutout to the W's, but I've heard this song plenty.

More Sleepy > 6. GD - Hell In A Bucket

All right! She found some clips. This is the first request I've had played since AL 1.0. Clip requests count, don't they?

surprisingly rare considering it's the Cure. Comes up in regular KFOG rota often enuf, but only one prev 10@10 appearance -- in the Morey era.

LOL -- double-edged reference!  (Strangeloves did "I Want Candy" and Peter Sellers starred in both Dr Strangelove and Candy)

More Warriors > 8. U2 - Bullet the Blue Sky
9. John Cougar Mellencamp - Check It Out

There've been a few relative rarities this set (Cure, DM, PSBs) but they're all bands I really don't have much love for. As a result, we're 8 9 songs in and I don't have  a pick for BOS. Maybe Peter Wolf if nothing else turns up.

Hahaha, Mike. I'm not quite that clever. I didn't know about the the movie Candy. I'll take credit for the rest of it though  8)

Still more Warriors > 10. Prince - Starfish and Coffee

Woot! I know RGM requested this but I think there were others, too.

Hmmm, does this mean something naughty I ought to know about?

It's been requested many times and I always get +1's when I do.  Will have to listen tonite -- but the rest of this looks pretty underwhelming to me -- kinda surprised she missed a chance to note Morrissey's B-day.

Sign O' the Times is such a great double LP. So many of those are compared unfavorably to The White Album; you often hear "if only they'd cut it down to a single LP it woulda been killer!" (Tusk comes to mind.) But the Prince is just fab.

And we go to 11! With an egregious LN, no less! (Although it does go with the basketball theme.)

11. Tom Petty - Jammin' Me

She didn't cop to it during the backsell. And I didn't keep track to see if she left something out.

I guess the Warriors won that game (I was waiting for her to confirm that), but it appears they lost the rest of them.

White Album has quite a bit of filler itself. But it's Beatles, so every song eventually becomes part of the Canon. Just think if Revolution #9 had been put out under Yoko's name. You're right in general: the worst was G&R putting out two double albums at once. Use Your Illusion 1/2 would have been much better.

That was a pretty good Lakers team.

I, too, requested "Starfish & Coffee", but I also requested "Housequake" from said album.

This set concluded the Saturday replay, and six songs later they played "Where the Streets Have No Name" and three songs after that they played "I Won't Back Down".  So within a 10 song stretch they played two U2 songs from the SAME album and in an overlapping ten song stretch they played two Tom Petty songs from consecutive albums!  Is anybody paying attention over there?
