Never mind, after 4 tries I got in, in time for the gtr solo to "Center of Your Mind." Sweaty Teddy before he lost his own.

way better than a neil young solo.

Or do we hear Journey to the Katrina of Your Mind nearly every time we go to 1968? Kind of like the Moodies Dear Diary, or Deep Purple's Hush in their respective years?
-
"I know that your home has been dynamited..."
Wow. that's a great verb.
-
BOS new MLK clip!
I recommend once again that HBO movie about him, "Boycott". Jeffrey Wright rules.
-
"If you want money for people with minds that hate" --
-- then report to your local GOP headquarters right away! No time like the present!

Hey Urth,
Among the many things you missed at my BBQ last October was the chance to hear the song after JttCoYM on the double vinyl compilation I have called Journeys and Migrations. It is one of the most reee-diculous attempts at 60's profundity imaginable: "Why Is A Carrot More Orange Than An Orange?"

BOS to the Heidi Bowl!
Go RAIDERS!

P.S. I wish I could slow down my dancing banana to be in time with "Mony Mony." That would rock.
-
"hey she give me love and i feel alright now
(heidegger!)"
that's what i always hear him sing
-

LOL! I always wondered WTF he's saying too... though I suspect he's saying "sock it to me" really fast.
-
Other BOS: Max Frost and the Troopers. No better faux garage out there!
-
BOS Max Frost & the Troopers! Best song of revolution ever written in the Brill Building.

Someday Dave should play "Mornin' Dew". It's a wonderful version.
-
BOS2 to "Forever Came Today." I think Dave and I are the only people who ever really LOVED this song (#26 charter, their worst to this point).
-
"started my life
in a worn, torn dress that somebody threw out..."

My BOS. sweet.
-
VHM Supes. I was wondering where the soul was. nice warmup for CGSS at the top o' the hour.
-
Hey y'all.
I posted some Similes over on the My 3 SOngs & Other Trivia forum, plus there are some hints on the What's My Line one that might lead to a couple more answers. Give it a go.

Oh, I loved it too. Of course, I was 13 at the time :D Now, "No Matter What Sign You Are" -- THAT was a Supes record...
-
"started my life
in a worn, torn dress that somebody threw out..."
are you commenting on the similarity of melody?
"I lied, I said mama died
on a weekend trip to Spain..."
-
Now, "No Matter What Sign You Are" -- THAT was a Supes record...
THAT was a BIZARRE record.
"A-QUAR-I-US ... SAG-I-TTAR-I-US!!!" Smokey tries to rewrite Hair. Not quite my idea of a Supremes record, but at least a valiant effort to spring them out of formula.
-
A tasteful close to the colorfall: "Wear Your Love Like Heaven." BOS3. I wish there were still a place for songs like this in Top 40 Land.
-
mmmm.......beck and stew are going to have to share my bos vote with the hurdy gurdy man!

ayup.

another BOS to Donovan, who'll be touring with Mellencamp soon! "Wear Your Love Like Heaven", which became a perfume commercial later that same year -- worth remembering when we bitch about instant sellouts today.
-
if Donovan wrote this today he'd get deported. :(
Lord kiss me once more
Fill me with song
Allah kiss me once more
That I may, that I may
Wear my love like heaven
-

You've just ruined this song for me. Or rather, Madison Avenue has. :x
-
I've been busy this morning so I only got to tune in the last 10 minutes.
Any hope for Yes for this set?
-
P.S. I wish I could slow down my dancing banana to be in time with "Mony Mony." That would rock.
I'm going to spend the rest of the day finding an appropriate song that your dancing banana is in sync with. Gonna start with Green Day.
-
"Amboy DOOKS" -- where else has Dave overpronounced this word in the back-announce?
-

Love's Baby Soft was the scent, quite popular with teen girls in '68.
I just heard the current Bruce Hornsby song being used on a commercial. The more things change...

nay, nay. it was a 4/4 set.

Spot on. Indeed, I highly doubt that Muslim charities/orgs are welcome under the umbrella of "faith-based communities" that the reigning theocracy loves to trumpet so goddamned much.

"that's just the way it is
some things they never change"
or
"some things, they never change"
i suppose. depending.
-

a little less Viagra next time.
Just edit it in ImageReady
-
(sigh) I really wish I could have heard today's set. Stupid meeting.
ETA: I missed Max Frost & the Troopers?! Damn it! That does it- time to get myself elected President and take over America.
"15... OR FIGHT!"
