it still astounds me that Thin Lizzy's "Whiskey..." is from '73 -- got zero NYC airplay then, and when "Boys Are Back" emerged in '76 they were characterized as this "new" Irish band (and our prog-rock powerhouse, WNEW-FM, really shoulda known better).
