23 Sept 2010: it's... a Mystery Year (1967)
« on: September 22, 2010, 03:46:31 PM »
"It is a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma; but perhaps there is a key."

ETA: FWIW, the '60s are the only decade we haven't hit yet this week.

Gaz ID's '67 on the basis of 4 bass notes of "I'm a Man."  BOS1 to Stevie and Spencer et al.

I was guessing 67 or 68, since it has to be before CTA did it in 69.  But I couldn't tell ya for sure.

Whee!  BOS2 to "Here Comes My Baby."  I always forget the artist, though.

Not to mention the disco version (BoysTown Gang, or somesuch).

BOS the Tremoloes, "Here Comes My Baby", a Cat Stevens compo.

AL's 3 for 3 in BOS votes from me: love the kick drums and doo-doo's on "R&R Woman."

BOS3 the Lovin' Spoonful and one of their loveliest. Just gorgeous (even if "dawdle" and "toddle" are a bit dicey, rhyme-wise)

Looks like my faux request was some 31 years off (I requested "Kind And Generous" for no particular reason on FB).
