The Peak, week of 4/15/13
« on: April 15, 2013, 07:37:16 AM »
Mon 4/15/13: April 1984

APP, Berlin, Scorpions, Pretenders, Cars, PsyFurs, Eurythmics.

2nd time in the last week I've heard Tony Carey's "Fine Fine Day", which barely registered on my radar in '85.

JCM fights authority and loses.

always a treat despite many hearings: Tracy Ullman.

Tue 4/16/13: April 1972

BOSFRA: Jackson Browne "Jamaica Say You Will"

VHM Stones, tho' something other than "Tumbling Dice" woulda been nice.

otherwise, LNs I heard on Casey's April '72 chart this weekend: Badfinger, Nilsson, Staples, Paul Simon.

OMFG: Velvet Underground "Lisa Says" uber-BOS2FRA.

and Rob closes with Mr Chapin's "Taxi"

I wonder if Lisa Says was the Lou solo version, from his debut album, because the VU track wasn't released until the Eighties.

Good question -- you're probably right; I was going by what TuneGenie said as I wasn't listening.
