BOS2: World Party, Is It Like Today?

WP & CDT revive the set admirably.  Is "Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm" the only charting song that:

A.) has a title consisting of only a single letter repeated?
B.) contains the word 'lurched'?
A is NO, since Major Lance had a song called, I think, "Mm Mm Mm Mm Mm".   Which is really the same title, excluding whitespace :).
B> Probably.

ETA: Oops, I lied.  That song is called "Um Um Um Um Um Um".  But there appears to be a Patty Labelle song called "Mm Mm Mm", or some such.

Well, not too bad of a '93 set, all things considered. And more importantly, we got this week's 90s set done early, so hopefully we have better things in store for the rest of the week.

But I'm likely to miss most of it--we're going out to the coast for a few days starting tomorrow, so I'll probably miss that set and def. Wednesday and Thursday. Have a good week, y'all!
Let's get right to it.

I'd like to believe that, but given the new emphasis on late-'80s/early-'90s, anything's possible. '93 on Monday probably means there's an '87 in store before Friday.

Repeated, yes; but not the only single-letter entry: an R&B singer named Omarion charted with a song called simply "O" a few years ago (I think in '04).

De La Soul was a close call, with a minor charter in 2001 titled "Oooh."
“The choir of children sing their song.  They've practiced all year long.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.”

How about "D-D-D-D" by Mel Tillis or "I-I-I-I" by the Frito Bandito? ;)
Although it doesn't answer your question, there is a real song called "XXX's and OOO's" by Trisha Yearwood, see: http://www.mtv.com/lyrics/yearwood_trisha/xxx_s_and_ooo_s_an_american_girl/19651753/lyrics.jhtml
