sorry to put on the crankypants, but this is one of THE most overplayed songs in the Classic Rock catalog... it's in reg KFOG playlist rotation and I could easily go the next 6 months without hearing it and not miss it.

I have to share a memory of seeing David Essex sing Rock On on some 70's show like the Midnight Special.  The camera started with a close up of "SEX" portion of "DAVID ESSEX" which was in lights on the stage, then panned back until he was in full view.  Definitely seemed to capture his appeal...  :-)

I can give a another BOS to "You Haven't Done Nothin'", but I'm still waiting for something special.

The only real Katrina in 1974 is Wet Willie, but these are all well traveled so far.

too true, but only the Queen really irked me, since it's also in daily KFOG rotation.   Funny how Dave-on-autopilot is less annoying in '74 than, say, '86.

Well as soon as I posted that, Dave gave me the Redbone, which is a rarity if not a bustout (new to the Db anyway).  But everything single other tune fell into the "shows up a couple times a year but not a Katrina" category.

What an amazing, amazing effort this was, especially the congas and lead guitar.  I deeply dislike what the Stones became (I could do without everything they've recorded since 1987) but when they were on, they really brought out genius in each other.

Actually, for quite a long period from the late '60s thru the '80s, the Moet company pronounced it Mo-ETTE in their TV spots ('cause Amurricans hate tryin' to pronounce them furrin' langwiches).

REAL hip-hoppers drink Cristal, anyway
