And Elvis leads off, but not that Elvis.

And Elvis leads off
the other one. I'm hoping against hope that this is the '77 set we hear "Way Down".

Me too. For sure we will hear some "The King is Dead" sound bites.

Lynyrd Skynyrd rarity? I don't know this song.
ETA: I guessed it was called "One More Time", which it is.

indeed -- an ATBB far as I can tell. BOSFRA.
-
BOS2 Alvy/Woody & Annie/Diane. "lah-dee-dah, lah-dee-dah!"
BOS3 Stephen Bishop -- my love for this one is well-documented, but it's going down especially nicely today. Musical comfort food, as I smile when i feel like crying..

And perhaps the closest they came to capturing the Allmans' sound. This was actually recorded in 1971 at the fabulous Muscle Shoals.

I hear ya brother. Me too, although I felt that way more a few weeks ago than today.

not my fave CSN, but a summer-of-'77 flashback for sure. This LP was *huge* on prog WNEW-FM, and I have memories of hearing this on the way to Rockaway Beach more than once.

Three's Company doesn't hold up as audio-only.

WOS, Jack Tripper the Dancing Queen.
Everything that was wrong with the late seventies, IMO.

He was a gay Tripper. One-way ticket, yeah.

Yeah, you need the visuals provided by the Suzanne Somers Cheesecake Factory.

Bwahahaha! the late Mr Ritter was married several times, but I *always* got that vibe from him, and not just on the show.

I always had a Mondegreen from Dancing Queen (hey, that rhymes), because they really mumble & squeeze the line "You're in the mood for a dance." I heard something like "Doin' the Lufa dance."
...and I never new what a Lufa was until we started this thread.
;) :D ;) :D
-
Holy crap! Generation X ?? uber-BOS4 -- followed by Iggy, lustin' for it.
-
Holy crap! Generation X ?? uber-BOS4
I'll take your word for it, and agree on the uber-ness.

gee, it feels like the first time I'm hearing Foreigner -- NOT!

Never really liked this that much after I grew out of my teens, but it shore does remind me of the summer I spent on the Schroeder homestead, aka my Uncle Dave's farm. If this had been the AM radio mounted on his tractor back then, chances are this would have been followed by Shawn Cassidy singing "Da Doo Ron Ron".
-
Guess AL was all Elvis-ed out.
-
I have to give props to Foreigner -- great opening guitar riff -- but that version was feeling like the
first time radio edit.
-
Out of curiosity, I switched from the stream to the radio with poor reception -- looks like Boz (Find You Place in the Sun) was the bonus, but you wouldn't have heard it on the stream...

If that was Find Your Place In the Sun, then we're takin' a Pablo Cruise down memory lane, although I think Boz had a release in '77 as well.
Missed the set entirely--will have to try the replay this evening. Sounds like it was a goodie, with or without Elvis P. content.

Oops. That makes more sense. But it sounded like Boz to me at the time, and I've never been much for either. Except for 'Loan Me a Dime" of course.
