BOS Eric Johnson (this is him, isn''t it?), tho' this is a frequent-flyer too.

Yep, Cliffs of Dover I think. Which means Gary Moore probably ain't happening this set. Unless Dave wants to go over his guitar-whiz quota.

Oops, you may be right.  Hard to tell instrumentals apart some times.

I remember when that came out.  I was very impressed with the lyrical quality of EJ's playing.  I found it much more attractive than Joe Satriani's playing, with whom he's inevitably compared.

I think so, but I haven't seen it either. But boy, does she seem nuts.

put it in yer Netflix queue immediately.  A well-deserved Oscar for Ms Bates. And Rob Reiner when he could still direct.

Pretty good variety from the Traveling Wilburys.  Is this from the second album?

Like Mike says.  Really a great piece of work -- and the clip alone gives me the willies.

proxy of Gaz: George Michael, "Freedom" (?). But I don't have much use for this one myself.

I was stunned that it went Top 10 -- the keyboard riff seemed awfully Peanuts at the time, and even then I knew that songs about how tough it is to be a celebrity don't necessarily win style points -- but I still kinda like it.  Vastly superior, and sadly forgotten though it was a No. 1 hit, was its predecessor, "Praying for Time."  (One of very few "serious" songs I've ever performed in karaoke, and it went over quite well.)
“The choir of children sing their song.  They've practiced all year long.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.”
