Agree with the BOS for Nathan Jones, and BOS2 to Rod Stewart--I have no idea why, but I still get chills when the 12-string guitar comes in on the intro of Maggie May.

Saw a very hoarse Jonathan Richman play this on a lark once, quite awhile back--a fabulously silly, spontaneous moment!
Let's get right to it.

And to me as well--this song is a veritable sixth-grade sledgehammer for me. Superb set from an incredibly deep year. Did they record bad songs in 1971?

"Joy to the World" is the most dated of 3DN's hits, but I still think it's fun when I haven't heard it in a while.  The harmonies in the second half are a treasure.

The Osmonds certainly did.

TDN always makes me remember my old housemate Rich, who was a very hearty fellow.  Every year around the holidays when we'd be partying he'd suddenly burst out, "Hey everybody!  Let's sing Christmas songs! Okay?  How 'bout we start with 'Joy To The World'?  Ready?............JEREMIAH WAS A BULLFROG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

I don't know that I'd call this a katrina--I don't recall hearing it that much. At least, not since 1971.

OMG!!! Moulty!!! BOS3!!!
