Lamont and Tonelli (and Sully) are doing their drunk driving show this morning.  Surprisingly entertaining, especially when they're messing with the traffic girl.

But Sully's no Johnny Fever.

"their drunk driving show"?  What does this entail?

Actually, should be anti-drunk driving show.  The on air crew are drinking heavily, and getting breathalizer tests on some kind of regular schedule (from actual police).  And they tell you not to drink and drive.

In the classic WKRP episode, they had Johnny Fever and Venus Flytrap (and maybe others) doing the same thing, except they also had reflex testing.  The joke was that Johnny got better the drunker he got, where everyone else got worse.

it's gotta be better than "Mammaries Monday", "Titties Tuesday" or "Fart-Lighting Friday".

That's "Ta-Ta" Tuesdays.  And I'm not proud that I know that.

Fart Lighting Fridays -- lol.

Seriously sounds like a stunt they'd have Sully do. May have already been done.

So it appears that Monday's the Weedman does a theme set for lunch.  Last week was the whistling, this week it's -- Bob.  Just Bob.  Boneheads calling in and suggesting songs that somehow relate to Bob.

Nothing too surprising (or entertaining) yet:

Bob Seger, "Old Time Rock N Roll"
Janis, "Me and Bobby McGee"
Credence, "Proud Mary" (because, when you are in a River Boat, um, and there are waves, you bob up and down.  Some people are too "clever" for their own good)

Thorogood, "Get a Hair Cut and Get a Real Job"  (like your brother Bob)

Bob Dylan, "Mr. Tambourine Man"

How about EJ, "Phila. Freedom": when he's knee-high to a man, he bobs up and down.

Robert "Bob" Plant, "Tall Cool One"
The Beatles (Yay), "Rocky Racoon" (suggested by a Bonehead named Bob?)
Led Zep -- "When the Levee Breaks" (back to Percy)

Seriously Weedman, you gotta have some rules...

I've stopped listening to the bone again.  The contest is still going on, but the possibility $100 an hour isn't enough to make me listen to "Freebird" every damn day. >:(

The Bone did a top 107 party songs. A lot of them aren't really party songs but they did play a couple songs that they normally wouldn't. The Champs "Tequila", Wild Cherry "Play that Funky Music" and Kingsmen "Louie Louie" were played. These songs were supposedly selected by listeners. Number one was AC/DC "You Shook Me all Night Long"

Weird screw-up on the Bone last nite. They started Little Steven's show with the 2nd segment, no intro or theme. Then they re-ran a segment from last week's show, then went back to this week's. We never did hear the opening segment.

And the Bone is running commercials for... Kaboom!  No mention of KFOG, of course, just the artists and the fact that there will be fireworks "set to a rock soundtrack" (not "world class rock", just "rock").  Did they do this last year? Are tix selling that badly? That's what happens when you raise the price by 50% in a recession, Cumulus.
