BOS to Albert Hammond, "It Never Rains in SoCal," even if it hits a bit close to home sometimes.  Some great, crisp pop songwriting; wish people worked this formula still today.

Zoom was my favorite.  There was one kid I really identified with.  I remember they were doing a skit with a damsel trapped in a tower and the kid kept blowing his lines: "don't you know damsels are supposed to cry for trelp?" or something like that.  It was one of the first casts.

Alicat - not sure what you mean if Zoom was local.. :?:  I grey up in Colorado, and watched it there too. Surely you remember that OH TOO WON THREE FOR  is in Boston Mass.

ZOOM was taped in Boston Mass (just like the song says) in distributed through PBS. We all saw the same ZOOMs.

Romper Room was a franchise. Stations bought the rights to stage their own Romper Rooms based on the formula. I remember RR from when I was a kid in West Virginia- but my 'Miss Nancy' wasn't the same 'Miss Nancy' on Ch2 in Oaklnad (that was an actress/comic/motivational speaker Ruby Unger.

AHHHHH! The Double Deckers! AHHHH! NOOOO!
