"How Long" may be a Katrina, but it's one I never tire of.

This is the one with a healthy dose of Buckingham-Nicks, right?

It's a great one.  I was thinking of it the other day when my daughter and I heard "Tempted" on the radio.  I explained that it was Squeeze's biggest hit,  but wasn't even sung by a member of the band.  I guess he was official, but only for that album, perhaps.  Anyway, I heard "How Long" in my head for some time.  I always associate this song with Player's "Baby Come Back" since they came out around the same time, and they're both in the one-hit-wonder category, as far as I know.

did I ever mention that I currently live in Bill Spooner's old flat?   old, as in like 20 years ago or more...

Don't think you did. How'd you come to find that out? Any interesting relics of his residency still there?

our electric landlady mentioned it when we moved in --  I subsequently emailed him and he did confirm it.

No relics left behind other than some awesome guitar karma, which occasionally rears up when I pick up my acoustic...  ;) yeah, I wish!

Hey Gaz, speaking of big TANC's, did you notice Alicat's avatar?

(Adrian in particular liked the gift, by the way).

Hey Urth, according to my records this set isn't in your archives.  Any chance you could, um, you know...?

Truly this is one of Dave's best sets ever.  So glad it got replayed to day.

indeed, a delightful surprise after yesterday's '89 bummer.

and heeeeeeeeeeeere's ABBA, the double-palindrome moment has arrived!

I have always made the same connection as well.  Anyone else?

Player's a 2-hit wonder "This Time I'm in it For Love" hit #10

Both self-pitying pub rock, so the connection's certainly there.  But Player wasn't a OHW - they made #10 with their forgotten follow-up, "This Time I'm in It for Love."

Joe spent a night at my house last month & once again my wife and boys thought he was a cool guy.  And then he sent us a DVD of Love, American Style, Season One for  X-mas.  We watched the first ep & my 9 year old loved it.
