An all bust-out 1971!
... hey, why are you waking me up? I was having this wonderful dream about 10@10...

It's looking like we'll get a year in which she can play Cheap Trick (the better to promote their KFOG Playspace appearance).
I chimed in to suggest a "Jesus Rock" set on Good Friday, which got a number of "like"s I'm pleased to say.

and sure enuf... '77 begins with the orig studio version of "IWYTWM". Always nice to hear this instead if the overexposed live take.

This gives me hope for the rest of the set. The stuff that was on the charts in '77 was largely shite so anything that deviates from that is probably a plus.

BOS Eddie & the HotRods -- yeah, she's played it a bunch o' times but damn what a fab 45.

Definitely NOT shite. BOS2.
-
EC waits for the end -- BOS2 just for not being "... Red Shoes" or "Alison"
BTW 'snipes consensus is that the studio version of the Cheap Trick song is "lame". Can't please everybody.

I actually like it better, but I'm not a fan of the live version at all...

news: Carter/energy crisis --> Skynyrd, "You Got That Right"

BOS for his traveling bone.
-
Annie Hall is a dead shark, clip-wise. And Steve Miller flies his airliner.

It's vastly different than the live version, and frankly I wasn't a fan of the original at first, but yeah, I like it just fine now. A nice showcase for Rick Nielsen's guitar picking skillz.
That said, I'm not surprised that the Snipey consensus is thumbs down.

BOS3 "Sound + Vision", not rare but always welcome.

BOS.

"another great (if terribly overexposed) one" -- Iggy lusts for residuals.

BOS.
Me three.
Iggy probably owes millions to whoever picked "Lust for Life" to be in Trainspotting.
-
BOS4 Garland Jeffries!!
-
This is actually turning out to be a pretty good version of 1977, Steve Miller and Skynyrd notwithstanding.
-
BOS5 Television "Marquee Moon" -- lightning strikes itself, indeed.
ETA: she's played Television before but this tune may be a bustout based on my cursory search.

I don't find any record of it either, but I'll wait for the final pronouncement from dischead.
ETA: It would seem she's playing the l-o-o-o-o-o-o-n-g version. Mshray would be thrilled. Hope he's listening.
-
Madden is a slit watermelon --> "Fanfare/Common Man" for Keith Emerson. Nice. BOS6.
-
Ah, and we close with ELP's Fanfare for the Common Man. A tribute to Keith Emerson, no doubt.
ETA: Definitely NOT the long version. In fact, it kinda seemed like she faded it out and hid it behind a Don Pardo sounder. Oh well.

I'm thinking No. 1 is too -- don't think we've ever gotten the orig studio version of "IWYTWM", tho' we've heard the live version in a bunch of 1979 sets.

Wow, not even during the Morey era? Coulda sworn we've heard Marquee Moon before. (I know we've heard Venus di Milo.)
