-
5 songs in and I *think* I've got it. No spoilers from me.
-
aaaaaannnnd song/artist 7 appears to blow my theory out of the water.
-
ah, all is revealed. You might actually get it. My mind was on another path.

I didn't get it either. Was thinking it might be bands that changed lead singers at some point in their career, but that was not it. And the actual theme DW was working from was better than that, anyway. No spoilers here either.

Thru song #5, I was thinking "groups that were formed in the '70s who had their biggest success in the '80s" but by song #7 that was obviously not it :)

Haven't listened, but I'm stumped. I'd say it might have something to do with bands that have members similar to other groups, but Baez and Janet throw that hypothesis away.

You can figure out anything with google.
I won't spoil it since I cheated.

oooookay.. I smell what you are stepping in. I get the gist.
Speaking of Cleveland Rocking, saw a Drew Carey Show re-run last night where Drew, et al, put together a band and auditioned guitarists. Joey Ramone, Slash, Lisa Loab, Jonny Lang, Matthew Sweet, Dave Mustaine, Dusty Hill, Rick Nielsen, Roy Clark and Michael Stanle all auditioned, but they were "too good" — so they settled on Joe Walsh.
Later on, the orig James Gang performed at an area Ramada Inn. Loved it..!
