We're getting a lot more early Squeeze on all the shows lately (or is it just me?).  I remember Dave used to trot this stuff out a LOT, rarely does any more.  BOS to "Pulling Mussels From a Shell" just for those subtle harmonies on the lead-in to the refrain.  Which one of them has the low-buzz-hum vocal technique?

Chris Difford, I think. Tilbrook is the higher, poppier voice singing lead.

Was he?  I thought the consensus was that he's been faking it all this time in order to have an easier quasi-prison life.  That said, take me with you if you find that alternate universe!  And Rod, thanks for posting that bit on the relationship of language to class -- that's been a meta-interest of mine for some time.
