Austin "Bob" week of 8/17/09
« on: August 17, 2009, 09:02:40 AM »
Mon 8/17/09: 1991

Paula Abdul -The Promise Of A New Day
Marc Cohn -Walking In Memphis
Metallica -Enter Sandman
Robert Palmer -Mercy Mercy Me
Marky Mark & The Funky Bunch -Good Vibrations
Extreme -Hole Hearted
Divinyls -I Touch Myself
Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers -Learning To Fly
Bryan Adams -(Everything I Do) I Do It For You

Kudos on Mr Palmer's fine Marvin cover (actually a medley with "I Want You"). Again, a nice balance of pop and rock that AL's '90s sets could benefit from. Mmmmm... Marky Mark... grabbing his, er, funky bunch.

Fri 8/21/09: 1984

Rod Stewart -Some Guys Have All The Luck
Wang Chung -Dance Hall Days
Dan Hartman -I Can Dream About You
Re-Flex -Politics Of Dancing
U2 -Pride (In The Name Of Love)
Hall & Oates -Out Of Touch
Talk Talk -It's My Life

Now THAT is 1984!  kudos on Rod-the-Bod, H&O, Bananarama and (whooyagonnacall?) Ray Parker. Super BOS Dan Hartman's faboo "I Can Dream..." -- could never get Dave to play that one; hope it's on AL's radar.
