The studio "engineering" has been poor. This today and the silence days ago.

A new friend that I'm smitten with.  It's been a long time since I got really hung up on someone; I'd seriously forgotten how good it feels.

I think if a foghead were to show up at Dave's house now, he should make them a set just for effort. (Of course, he'd probably get a restraining order, too. :) )

Heard the set in my car, enjoyed it because it was a theme set on a Friday, but agree that we will soon need a term for overly repeated sets.

But check this out...as soon as the set ended I flipped over to Channel 104.9 and...HOLEE SHIT!!!...they played the Clash's first UK hit "Police & Thieves"! (apparently for no special reason).

I mean, WOW!

If you don't know the song, AMG review is here.

I'll applaud the bonus track.  But I must note for the record that several months before that "Young Folks" song became a bona fide modern rock hit, someone in the Village Voice office - I think it was then editor David Blum, but I don't know - would whistle that riff at various points for entire workdays.  I came to somewhat dread it, while still recognizing it for the earworm it was.
