it was the third of September -- the day David Ruffin's daddy actually did die -- he thought Norman Whitfield was messin' with his head, but it was just a coincidence (the song had been written for Undisputed Truth).

VHM Mr Whitfield at the peak of his producing powers.

first double Dead, now double ABB. Ah, the '70s...
you know, the more I listen to these 10@10s, the more they sound the same.  These AAA stations ALL play the same stuff.  I understand that we're listening to multiple versions of 10@10s, often on stations owned by the same company, but wouldn't it be AWESOME to hear more songs like Taxi?  or maybe some funky stuff thrown in here and there (Papa was a rolling stone, heh)..  It's not like Taxi is that far off the beaten path, but compared to the umpteenth ABB spin, it's so refreshing.

I suppose I want to hear what real FM radio sounded like back in 72, that prog rock, those looooong versions of acid rock, etc.

I knew The Drive and The Sound were pwned by the same pwners when I heard the exact same Sanford and Son snippet played on both stations.  (The Sound played 72 last week, I think).

curses!  Corporate radio!

not just corporate radio but MORMON corporate radio. Don't forget to tithe!

Sorry to be fussy, but substitute Dennis Edwards for David Ruffin.

And yes, T&L is ABSOLUTELY about a schlong.  It reaches everywhere - what a good thing she's got!
