is it like a Mystery set?  could it be words that drop the "g" in the gerund form?  like

Lovin'
Touchin'
Squeezin'

??

I did a spot check of the lyrics online and found dropped Gs in a most of the printed lyrics, except for Eric Clapton's.   ... but that's pretty esoteric, and almost any pop singer can be accused of singin' like that, even if the lyric sheet says otherwise.  ;)

sadly the Arrow's stream doesn't work on my office PC. Appears to be an '80s year today -- Pat Benatar in the "now playing" window..
