The Peak, 10/08/07: It was 1985
« on: October 08, 2007, 08:03:03 AM »
Slept through it, and am sorry I missed ultra-rare Gino Vanelli (viz. my avatar) and the final Supertramp charter (a personal fave of mine at the time).

Tears For Fears    Everybody Wants To Rule The World
Supertramp    Cannonball
Pet Shop Boys    West End Girls
Tom Petty    Rebels
Simple Minds    Alive And Kicking
Suzanne Vega    Marlene on the Wall
Hooters    And We Danced
Marillion    Kayleigh
Dire Straits    Money For Nothing
Gino Vanelli    Black Cars
“The choir of children sing their song.  They've practiced all year long.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.”

Extended promo clip for Brazil, which I'm embarrassed to admit I've never seen.

In case anyone wondered, Rob keeps the "faggots" in "Money for Nothing."

As well he should, IMHO.

I forgot to listen to the replay, but here's Mr. Vannelli's picture sleeve:

Black cars may look better in the dark, but black suits look better on Gino. Rrrrrrowr!
