RIP Dave Herman, 78
« on: May 29, 2014, 02:26:53 PM »
The former WNEW radio personality died in a New Jersey jail of an aneurysm while awaiting trial on pedophilia charges (hence the RIH label on this thread).

ETA: Upon further consideration I removed the RIH tag -- innocent until proven guilty, and so forth.

according to a radio group I belong to on FB, they were getting ready to drop the charges, FWIW.

He was an early FM idol of mine, he did mornings at 'NEW-FM for much of the '70s. His delivery was a lot like another Dave -- the first time I heard Mr Morey I thought, "man, he reminds me of Dave Herman".
You spin me right 'round, baby, right 'round

Wow... the wheel keeps turning...  listening to Dave Herman was part of my morning routine for most of high school.

An aircheck, for those who would like to compare with DM:
