Judge plays Melba Moore's fab disco version of the BeeGees' "You Stepped Into My Life". Why was this not included on that "Soul of the BeeGees" compilation?

Lawd! KPOO plays the Three Degrees' "Maybe". Short version, sadly (ah lurves the loooong spoken intro) but still a fab vocal.

and now it's Vik Venus (aka Jack Spector) with "Moonflite"! LOL!

Twyla Herbert -- Lou Christie's longtime songwriting partner -- died last week at 80 (!) and 'LNG played a bit of an interview with Lou. I'd always heard he was gay (he was Lesley Gore's "escort" on many occasions before she came out), but now I'm convinced.

OMGWTF -- Gale Storm (who recently died) doing the "white" version of "I Hear You Knockin" -- badly. Sounds like she's doing a bad Mae West imitation.

Ah don't know much  -- but ah know that the BoxTops' "Soul Deep" is a highlight of any day. and 'LNG comes thru as always. Ah know darn well -- ah can tell!

Followed by yet another OMGWTF rare find: Frank Wilson, "Do I Love You (Indeed I Do)", a Motown rarity that's apparently one of the most sought-after "Northern Soul" singles in the genre.

'LNG just played the GrassRoots "Heaven Knows" -- I wish they'd followed it with the Box Tops' remarkably similar "Soul Deep".

When I posted this on 7/23, I emailed Brian "the Cannon" Bannon at 'LNG to suggest the above segue.  I got an email today -- apparently he did it this afternoon... while I was listening to Judge on KPOO. Bummer.
