Percy goes all Nordic on yo' ass!
I always hear
Quote
We come from the land of the ice and snow,
from the midnight sun where the huskies go.
I guess I've listened to too much Zappa to hear this song in a non-comical way.

This is one of the great classic sets in the archive, and a 4-way tie when all is said and done.  Originally from 8-8-03 if you want to look it up.

I met Neil a couple years ago at a rare book signing. Got a couple close-up pics of him arriving.  Didn't have opportunity to talk long, but did get a couple minutes to exchange pleasantries.

Hah! I've thought of this song (Yellow Snow, not Immigrant Song) every time I've taken our dog out for a walk in the last 10 days!

Sorry I missed this one--but I hear that our power may be back (our neighbors got theirs on this am), so with any luck I'll be home for Xmas! Yay!  (Still have to deal with the 3' of snow in the driveway, gotta bribe a snowplow driver I think.)

Geez, they're still spelling "Yay" wrong -- nice to know some things never change...

IIRC, we learned on Thursday that it is Trish somebody at KFOG (one of the staff lifers who got some airtime to wish Dave a fond farewell) who posts the setlists.  Either Peter or Greg said she was the only one who can read Dave's handwriting.  At least it's not an intern.

wonder if he'll have to email the (typed and therefore readable) lists to her from Michigan, or if he'll just fax his scribblings.
