Another VHM Gordon Lightfoot's lovely "The Circle Is Small".

Rubicon -- feat Jerry Martini of the Family Stone. A One Hit Wonder, sounding like Ambrosia.

LeBlanc & Carr are "Falling". Olivia Newton-John Travolta are debuting.

The Trammps' "Disco Inferno" on its 2nd chart go-'round, thanks to SNF.  I used to think James Ellis was singing "... my SPUNK got hot". Which could be, y'know, painful. And speaking of SNF, what a joy to hear the Tavares version of "More Than a Woman" -- they really got screwed, because many Top 40 stations played the BeeGees version from the LP, even tho' this was the single. BOS3.

BOS5 Lou Rawls' "Lady Love" which has always sounded like a lost Spinners hit to me.

Awwww... Heatwave do a slow dance. Wings debut at #17. But Casey's info is wrong -- this isn't the "hightest debut within the 40" in the history of the show; "Shaft" debuted at #9 in 1971.

'84, Hour 1: instant BOS1 Mr Joel's "The Longest Time".  VHM Berlin's "No More Words" which I'd forgotten had actually made the Top 40.

OMG: the Romantics' forgotten "One in a Million". WOS1 .38 Special.

BOS2 Bonnie Tyler, Holdin' Out. LN: "Red Red Wine" -- must be Manischewitz. But noteworthy: this was the song's first, less-successful chart go-'round. It woukl only reach #34; a re-release in 1988 took it to #1.

Holly Johnson wants to laser-beam me. er, ewww.

the 5-D's "Love's Lines Angles & Rhymes" is one you NEVER hear. Marilyn McCoo, ah LOVES you! Awful title, tho'.

This is the first time that Casey's syndicator is offering stations the option of airing the 4-hour version of a 1979 show (instead of starting off at #30). Don't know yet if any of the stations we usually listen to (CKRU or Magic 98) will go with the 4-hour version.
