Having read a bio on Sly that spoke of his dangerous, insane dog Gun at length, I'm unsettled by Casey's story about the fam Stone traveling with "upwards of 20" dogs.

Still and all, BOS3 to "Family Affair," which still gives me chills.

Ten Years After grumble about freaks & hairies and dykes & fairies.

Freddie North's "She's All I Got" is one I don't remember at all -- certainly got no NYC airplay. But I *do* remember the country version by Johnny "Take This Job & Shove It" Paycheck.  OMG: per Wiki, it was written by Gary US Bonds!

Rod the Bod is losin' you; Rev Al is tired of bein' alone. 

Yay Lighthouse, "One Fine Morning"!

Proxy of Gaz, Free Movement. VHM 5MEB's "Absolutely Right", which is absolutely superior to "Signs"

I thought the 5-D's cover of "Never My Love" was kindah "meh" in '71 but I like it much better now. Ditto "Summer of '42".

I wasn't gonna listen originally, but Felix Hernandez doesn't seem to be doing his "Rhythm Revue" on Kiss-FM -- taking the holiday weekend off, I guess, so I'll check out Casey anyway.

As expected, this is a lackluster chart to say the least.  VHMFRA ELO's little-heard "Twilight"

WOS1 the adult-contempo dreck of Chris Christian's "I Want You, I Need You"; WOS2 Survivor's "Poor Man's Son" which I surely haven't heard since '81 (and wish I'd kept that streak going)

VHM & proxy of Gaz, Paul Davis -- "Cool Night" is so much better than "'65 Love Affair"

Finally a BOS: Loofa's great "Never Too Much" is easily the highlight of Hour 1.

eeek: Kenny Rogers' long-distance "Lady". WOS3 the godawful cheeziness of "Hooked on Classics"

Hour 2: Stevie Wood's forgettable "Steal the Night" followed by a VHM for Babs' "Coming in & Out"

VHM Steve Miller's forgotten "Heart Like a Wheel". VHM Chilliwack's "My Girl", which would also be forgotten except that CKRU plays it often. Oh those wacky Canucks.

BOS2 Kool & the Gang, one of their many underexposed '80s singles, "Take My Heart"

VHM H&O -- fuhgeddaboudit!

I'm listening an hour or so behind you.  That LDD for "Lady" was sad.  WOS to the Royal Philharmonic; that dunce-clap beat was the sound of the final nails being pounded into disco's coffin.  But I actually liked the Janeiness of NTM "poor Man's Son."  VHM to Paul Davis.

I know Gaz'll BOS LRB, but "Night Owls" is far from their best IMHO.
