KFRC screwed up yet again -- they're playing last week's 1975 chart.

So I'm in W.Virginia for 1983... wow, how many songs stayed at #40 for 3 consecutive weeks? Not many, I'll wager. But here's Night Ranger (pre-"Sister Christian") doing just that with "Don't Tell Me You Love Me"

WOS Steel Breeze -- despite the imprimatur of Kim Fowley. Mr Fowley is played by Oscar nominee Michael Shannon in The Runaways, which opens Friday.

The Vandenberg and Donna Summer were new to me.  As was the instantly forgettable Supertramp tune - but did you know that, per the video, their lead singer for a while was Luke Wilson?

6 weeks. It fell the following week. Also during this period, Kenny Loggins (his song fell out of the top 40 that week) had "Heart to Heart" peak at 15 for 5 weeks.

This week, Casey's '70s visits 1978... again. (March 11th 1978)

and the '80s chart will be from March 15th 1980 -- the smallest possible gap between the 2 shows...

Yes, the '80 chart is more interesting, as evidenced by WHNN which usually airs 70's replays, but occasionally does early 80's, like this week. Playlist w/commercial breaks & "Extra" tunes:

Since Neil Diamond thinks The 3rd of June = Summer, I'm guessing "September Morn" was recorded on August 12th.

I had the '80s show on the computer and the '70s version on the radio in the bathroom, and I heard "How Deep is Your Love" twice in less than 15 minutes.

BOS3 Ms Ronstadt's 2nd appearance of the day on "How Do I Make You", the first hit written by Billy Steinberg, who went on to be quite the superstar songwriter:
