"He hit me with his best shot -- and it felt like a kiss."
But yeah -- what was that one from the movie Legend of Billie Jean (which had nothing to do with tennis OR Michael J).?
ooo! Chrissie! it's tuff chix on 10@10!
-
vhm: chrissie. katrina.
I wouldn't call this a Katrina (and we KNOW how picky I am about such things). In fact Dave manages to spread this album around -- and he hasn't played "Kid" in ages.

Just found out that a meeting that had been scheduled for 1pm has been switched to--of course--10am. My only consolation is that a 90s set is overdue--I'd thought that would be where we went today.

bos to whatever song this is i've never heard before. sounds like jeff healey on robert tepper.

Eddie Money, "Trinidad". Dave's definitely played this one a few times. I was just gonna give it WOS -- it's called "Trinidad" and its sunds like he's never been there. Might as well've called it "Cleveland"...

You mean "Trinidad"? Hate to be the one to break it to you--that was Eddie Money.

Trinidad, Eddie Money? I love Eddie, not because he's the greatest, but because he lived his dream.
Wanna be a rocker
Wanna be a rocker
Wanna be a rock n roll star

I liked Blair Brown better when she was 'Molly Dodd'. And even then I didn't like her all that much. Cute, though.
-
there's that sexy voice again!!
been awhile since i posted that.
ok, got it. eddie money. :)
-
what do they have in common?
Just guessing--they both used to be cops?

"Invincible":
We can't afford to be innocent
Stand up and face the enemy
It's a do or die situation
We will be invincible
And with the power of conviction
There is no sacrifice
It's a do or die situation
We will be invincible.

You're right--it would. Except he was asking about Eddie and Chris Isaak--see subject.

BOS Mark Knopfler

see, I never look at subject lines...
If Eddie "packs" I've never heard about it. Huey Lewis is the other "big" rock star. But Chris has better cheekbones.

There's a new crime drama soon to debut that features a blind detective. In one of the clips I saw, he's in a crime scene car and says "A gun's been fired in here -- I can SMELL it!"
I SMELL CLUES!

if jeff healey were a cop - with his own television show, that would be a great theme song. he'd need a sidekick, though.
-
My two favorite tunes from 1980: Skateaway & The Wait. Not a bad set by that reckoning.
-
BOS Mark Knopfler
insert here: ME TOO!
-
VHM Miz Ross (she da Boss). Still a Fab. You. Luss. pop single.

scary. there goes jeff healey's new gig.
speaking of the blind, i'm really glad i missed the superbowl blind bonanza. we're so over the top in so many wrong ways.

By an amazing coincidence, there's a blind cop show coming soon to ABC, with the yummy Ron Eldard. it's called (wince) "Blind Justice".
-
BOS Diana.
-
what I always think of is their lead guitarists in the early days. Jimmy Lyons (sp?) for Eddie and James Calvin Wilsey for Chris. Both guitarists were essential to the sound of the early hits, and both were dumped rather rudely by their respective band leaders.
-
Here's a bust-out: Set Me Free, Utopia.
Not Todd on vocals though--it's Kasim Sulton, bassist and resident pretty boy.
-
I've never heard this Utopia track before. It sounds like they were trying to figure out what Elton John was *supposed to* sound like by this point and recreated it.
No votes from me, I've found most of this set dullsville.

i knew the utopia song would be a perfect example of a song i enjoy that you'd hate.

I think I'm off to SmoothFMsville today...

"touch me with your naked hand... touch me with your glove..."
God I LOVE that song. Partly because some cranky Foghead complained about it not being "world class rock". (Probably the same one who compalined about Norah Jones back when.)

Well, some of them are anxiously waiting for the next Coldplay knockoff.
