The Peak, week of 12/20/10
« on: December 20, 2010, 07:31:58 AM »
Nice start to the week with 1970!

EJ's Your Song - very purty

David Bowie The Man Who Sold The World - BOS, and I have to say I became a little tired of Nirvana's version a while back.

George Harrison's He's So Fine Lordy gets another BOS from me.

scene from Little Big Man, Dustin Hoffman telling Richard Mulligan's General Custer that if he goes down there (to Little Big Horn) "there'll be nothing left of you but a greasy spot."  Of course, the blowhard (as portrayed) Custer thinks the "Mule Skinner" is using reverse psychology and, well, history tells the rest of the story.

Buddy Miles - Them Changes - diggit

Steven Still Love The One You're With -- ok, next?

Emitt Rhodes - Promises I've Made..??  NTM. nice.

Lot of this set is recycled from this weekend's Casey Countdown.

BOS to George chanting the names of the lord.  My favorite is Guru Shawarma.

“The choir of children sing their song.  They've practiced all year long.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.”

Holy crap, I just arrived in time to miss Emmit Rhodes -- gotta catch the replay.

I like the fact that Rob's sets are month-specific.

BOS2 to the daisy-fresh Emmit Rhodes and "Promises I've Made."

And sorry that pic was so big.

It's raining again in Africa -- but Henley's doing his dirty laundry anyway. Can the Look of love lead to sexual healing down under? Only if that state trooper will let me go.
