This is my WOS - this guitar noodling that I can't make rhyme or reason of.  Sounds like SRV's tone, which wouldn't surprise me -- I know he's a favorite here, but he bores me to tears.

it's an instrumental -- it ain't supposed to rhyme :wink:

yeah, i was thinking shannon. the melody is straight from the last melody lines of "fire on high." which madonna?

I always thought it was "inspired" by "Into the Groove".

Speaking of the Bone- that A-Z was interesting. It looks like there's gonna a be a little variety to the "classic rock" as in 'stuff written after 1987'...

They're going for the old KSJO listeners who've been homeless of late. Homeless radio-wise, that is. Although I guess some of 'em... oh never mind.

I'm betting we get Ronnie Montrose's Town Without Pity before it's all over.

If there was a big crossover of Bone listeners this morning, then maybe.  I bet we get some Jeff Beck & fer sure some Stevie Ray.

Any chance of a jazz ringer, like "Birdland" or "Take Five" or "Cast Your Fate To The Wind"?

Good start with "Classical Gas", but I'd be most impressed if he followed it up with "It's a Gas".  But then, nobody would have voted for that one.

You mean the Mad Magazine thing with the burps?  They played that on Oldies 1510 this weekend!

Yep, that's what I was thinking of.  Didn't know it had anything to do with Mad Magazine, but it makes sense.

I'd never heard it before, but they said it started out as one of those flexi-discs inside an issue of Mad. One of the musicians on it is sax great King Curtis.

didn't read all the links, but on the radio Saturday they said he was expected to make a full recovery, is that the gist of it?

Yup. He apparently found out about it the week of the RnRHOF inductions, and decided to wait 2 weeks before surgery because he wanted to record some new songs first!
