Oh, heck: I've gotta give BOS to Gilda.  The current crop of SNLers ain't got nothin' on Gil.

I want to hear bad disco.  We'll probably get "Da Ya Think I'm Sexy," but I'd much rather have "Kiss in the Dark" or "Copacabana."

Dare I hope for Machine's "There But For the Grace of God Go I"?  Or a Chic album track ("Chic Cheer" would suit me nice)?

Dave will not play Barry Manilow.  Not without some kind of previous approval from the Fogheads during the Mornig Show.

Last year (I think) Barry was a guest judge on American Idol & the ep had been discussed during the Morning Show.  I called in after the 9:00 Pop quiz & told Dave, "Hey, this is your chance to play Manilow on the 10@10!" and he told me, "I don't think I could get away with it, not without some warning."

bos = gilda!!

gaz, what's your sig?

It's from "Jimmy's Got a Little Bit of Bitch in Him" by either Parliament or Funkadelic (I can never keep them straight).  A very weird song about sexual fluidity.

OMG, the original tag-line for Apocalypse Now! was:

"You may have been up the river, but you've never seen this."

that's the most idiotic ever, sounds like the Mad Magazine spoof.
I don't agree, but what else is new?

I think the whole point/dividing line of the movie is the second half, when many of the critics freaked out, and just didn't get it.

I meant only the  tag-line is idiotic.  Not the movie.

Changing Gilda to BOS. Segue into EWF is great. Makes disco seem not so important.

Apropos of nothing at all ...

Q: Why don't they tell jokes in Jonestown?

A: It takes too long to get to the punchline!

Does anyone else think "One Way or Another" would be *even better* if the Pretenders had done it?

I voted Gilda for BOS too--how could you vote for anything else?
Let's get right to it.

okay, that calls for an even worse joke:

A: Didja hear about the other camp they found in Guyana with over 400 bodies?

B: Somebody trying to keep up with the Joneses?

No biggie, eye of the beholder and all that.  I guess since I think the heart of the movie deals with what they find at the end of the river, it seemed appropo to me.

I actually had that exact thought, but for the first time, just now.  Must be the better sound I'm getting with these headphones.
