VHM the brothas and their johnsons.

Greg on CGSS was talking about a docu on Quincy Jones where they interviewed everyone and his sister, all lavishing praise on Q -- but the Bros Johnson were conspicuous by their absence, even tho' they played on half of Quincy's '70s/'80s output. A falling out?

Dunno how they feel about Q, but they had a falling out with each other several years ago, culminating in one leaving a veiled death threat on the other's answering machine.

BOS2 to Dire Straits.  Knopfler has carved out a unique spot for himself as far as guitar tone, feel, and rhythm are concerned.  Instantly recognizable.

Oh yes, of course it is.  I've even played that in band, as recently as our spring concert.  That's the Saratoga Community Band, and I do mean just last spring.  Funny I never made the connection.

More or less consecutive. Eno and Byrne kept going after Remain In Light was done and Bush of Ghosts is what resulted.

Per DM, My Mistake was the Kingbees, not Split Enz. Still a narada in any case.
