Or do we hear Journey to the Katrina of Your Mind nearly every time we go to 1968? Kind of like the Moodies Dear Diary, or Deep Purple's Hush in their respective years?

Hey Urth,

Among the many things you missed at my BBQ last October was the chance to hear the song after JttCoYM on the double vinyl compilation I have called Journeys and Migrations.  It is one of the most reee-diculous attempts at 60's profundity imaginable: "Why Is A Carrot More Orange Than An Orange?"

THAT was a BIZARRE record.

"A-QUAR-I-US ... SAG-I-TTAR-I-US!!!"  Smokey tries to rewrite Hair.  Not quite my idea of a Supremes record, but at least a valiant effort to spring them out of formula.

A tasteful close to the colorfall: "Wear Your Love Like Heaven."  BOS3.  I wish there were still a place for songs like this in Top 40 Land.

another BOS to Donovan, who'll be touring with Mellencamp soon! "Wear Your Love Like Heaven", which became a perfume commercial later that same year -- worth remembering when we bitch about instant sellouts today.

Love's Baby Soft was the scent, quite popular with teen girls in '68.

I just heard the current Bruce Hornsby song being used on a commercial. The more things change...

Spot on.  Indeed, I highly doubt that Muslim charities/orgs are welcome under the umbrella of "faith-based communities" that the reigning theocracy loves to trumpet so goddamned much.
