Holy mother of god, you've got to give americans a $10 billion tax cut.

Just kidding. GFord into Genesis, Dance on a Volcano. When they were still prog.

ETA: This song is an exercise in weird time signatures--7/8, 11/8, lord know what else.

I saw 'em then, too and even tho their albums had gone pop, that was the best live show I ever saw them do. The last time they played the entire Supper's Ready, which was worth the price of admission right there. They did three nights at the Greek here--where'd you see 'em, Tink?

I think he has a little latitude to pick some of his own music on the morning show, but of course he's gotta hit the stuff that's in heavy rotation on the playlist, too. I'm betting he won't miss that part of the job so much.

Yes, I might go to that one.... I think I found out about Mercury Rev from KUSF.  And when i discovered that David Fridmann was in the group, and that he produced a lot of key Flaming Lips stuff, AND that they're based in Fredonia, NY, I decided I would become a fan.

surely you remember this one: the question was "on their wedding night, the new bride found her husband onder the covers with ___________."  Betty said "his best man".

And Annalisa grabs that very clip for today's Bonus track quiz.

ETA: Yeesh, did we on the stream get aced out of the Bonus track? There was a really long-ass break (like 10 minutes, or so it seemed), then it went right into Sting, and now the Who's Join Together. (Although I guess it just could be that none of the callers have a clue, so she's coaching someone to say "his best man."

ETA2: It's now 11:48 and still no bonus track, so I'm guessing we got ads instead. But I'm thinking I haven't heard Annalisa at all since she gave the question 40 minutes ago, so I wonder if she fell ill or something. Or maybe today's the KFOG holiday lunch, so the station is on autopilot? (Now that I've typed that she's probably going to be on after this song and make a liar of me.)
