I saw this before -- posted here?  Anyway, it makes me too sad, some of these.

The one that's freaking me out right now?  "Everyone who knew me before 9/11 thinks I'm dead."  Much as people fantasize about completely starting over again, new identity and all, I can't fathom anyone actually going through it.

are you assuming all these "secrets" are true?  

Bet somebody in Hollywood takes that idea and tries to pitch it as a TV series...

in case you didn't know, The Bone is doing the A-Z thang this week (they're somewhere around J at the moment).  Looking at the playlist on their site, they're unearthing some relics -- Frijid Pink! (sorry I missed that.)  

Which reminds, KFOG is overdue for their own alphabetized trek.

I'll head over to the Bone after CG finishes playing "My Boy Lollipop".

It was just a brief comment on her part but I'm curious if this is a common feeling among Simps-o-philes. Maybe Beej can tell us what the folks at TWP are saying.

Many, many folks at TWoP have been unhappy with The Simpsoms for quite awhile now. I think the writing is flat, too. And there's a weird antagonism between Homer & Marge that they really didn't have before. It's kinda sad.

I think Homer is meaner this year, as opposed to harmlessly stupid.

BTW, I looked up chuffed today. Double meaning? I'm confused.

Maybe I was thinking of the wrong word?  I thought "can't be chuffed" = "can't be bothered."

Anyway, I hope you land a new situation soon.  If it's any encouragement, the Voice has reaffirmed its commitment to bringing me on full-time as soon as there's an opening and have given me a handsome raise to tide me over in the meantime.

per the Brit slang dictionary:

chuffed adj. Someone who describes themselves as being chuffed is generally happy with life. You can also get away with saying you are unchuffed or dischuffed if something gets your back up.

Saw Millions last nite. Very sweet and clever and Spielbergian (if Spielberg were a Brit; it's directed by Danny Boyle of Trainspotting and 28 Days Later).  But the best surprise: the soundtrack included my fave forgotten Clash song, "Hitsville UK".
