I missed essentially the whole set due to workplace hassles; what Mick and Paul did I miss?  Returned in time for "Rough Boys."

i already forgot the stones song. bob played some of "late in the evening" underneath bill murray, that's it - not the entire song.

Stones, "She's So Cold". You didn't miss Paul Simon; the intro to "Late in the Evening" was played (oddly) underneath a clip of Bill Murray from Caddyshack.  Speaking of whom, I saw Groundhog Day the other nite for the first time since it was in theaters.  What a great film. It has aged very well.

This vendetta of yours must end!

But "Boulevard" is not exactly Jackson's finest hour.

He played "She's So Cold" which prompted my lyrical query.

Then he played John Lennon "Watching The Wheels".

"late 1980"? I seem to recall that Hold Out was released in June.

From the Kings website, thekingsarehere.com (!):

Hey Judy, get Trudy
You said to call you up if I was feeling moody
Hey little Donna, still wanna
You said to ring you up if I was in Toronto
I have lots of friends that I can ding at any time
Can mobilize some laughs with just one call
Like a bunch of lunatics we'll act till way past dawn
Sure we'll be rockin' till our strength is gone
Yeah This Beat Goes On
Hey ladies you crazies

Me and Zero request you in the Mercedes

And then we'll ride so zoomy inside
The sky's the limit this time I'm Switchin' to Glide
I don't give a hoot about what people have to say
I'm laughin' as I'm analyzed
Lunatics Anonymous that's where I belong
Sure cause I am one till my strength is gone
Yeah This Beat Goes On
I have lots of friends that I can ding at any time
Can mobilize some laughs with just one call
Like a bunch of lunatics we'll act till way past dawn
Sure we'll be rockin' till our strength is gone
Yeah This Beat Goes On<.i>

well blow me down.

I also always slightly misheard the line:

"Like a bunch of lunatics we'll act till way past dawn"

as

"Like a bunch of lunatics we're out till way past dawn"
"Music is the Earth, People are the Flowers, and I am the Hose."

They're still together, playing clubs, releasing a new album, and putting their catalog on iTunes!

Safe to assume that this'll be a Crowded House year in Dave's house?

Same thought crossed my mind. '87 is due--their debut was out in 86, but did it get any chart action in 87? We just heard 88 and 91 last week, which was when Temple of Low Men and Woodface were released.
Let's get right to it.
