Saw GFR at Alameda County Fair last summer and a good time was had by all!

OMFG2! "Indiana Wants Me" -- even better cheeze. BOS3!

ETA: I vividly remember the first time i heard this -- I was on a bus listening to a tinny little transistor radio. And I assumed it was a new Simon & Garfunkel song. Ooops.

BOS5 to the James Gang--quite the midwestern-tinged set today, with the GFR and James Gang, and a song about Indiana...
Let's get right to it.

They had Zep opening for them on Zep's first US tour.

Yes, Don Brewer on drums, who earlier in year had played drums on Bob Seger's tour, and bassist Mel Schacher, joined by lead singer Max Carl (38 Special), lead guitarist Bruce Kulick (12 years with Kiss), and keyboardist Tim Cashion (Bob Seger and Robert Palmer).

Wow, all three originals--I'm impressed. I thought Farner was out using the name as a solo act. Good for them!

Sugar Bear: Bing Crosby's voice?

Not literally, but I'm sure it was meant to sound like him.

BOS2, Friend o' the Deli.

"Give me some pickles and pastrami on rye, a friend of the deli is a friend of mine..."
BTW, rumor is Lesh, Weir, Hart and rest of Phil and Friends doing Obama benefit on Monday
