While After The Fire's version of 'Der Kommisar' brings back fine memories of '83- the original was cooler.

Uh, not to put too fine a point on it, but you totally missed the point.  Dave played Reagan's "...and that's why I am supporting legislation in congress to end abortion on demand..." speech and let the clip run over the intro just to make it clear where he stands.

In fact Dave is in full killer segue mode with "Walking In Your Footsteps" follwoing hard on the War Games "Wouldn't you rather play a nice game of Chess?"  "Later, let's play Global Thermonuclear War" clip.

...if we explode the atom bomb, would you say that we are dumg.  We're walking in your footsteps...
"Music is the Earth, People are the Flowers, and I am the Hose."

So, why exactly was Dave all worked up to get this here 10at10 rollin'? He was acting like this was some big breakthrough set or something.

I mean- it's not bad or anything... but... as we used to say back in '83: "wut-EVERRRRR".

Couldn't Dave had made that point with the original version, too? Or is there something specific in the English lyrics I missed?

See above comment.  He's worked up because he's being POLITICAL.

Expect an AIDS clip soon.

Dave's giving in to his inner Duranny--we heard Rio during the morning show, now it's Hungry Like the Wolf.
Let's get right to it.

Yikes! Saga. I always got this confused with Loverboy at the time.
