I suppose I mentioned "Theme from Cleopatra Jones" not so much for the tune but more for the movie, a prime example of early 70's Blaxploitation.  Right on, brutha!

indeed 2 hits from that sndtk were in the 40: Millie Jackson's "Hurt so Good" is also from CJ.

My first time hearing those David Cassidy ("Rock Me Baby") and Michael Murphy ("Geronimo's Cadillac") tracks.  And, I hope, my last.  Yikes.

Chuck Berry is up to #7 with a future #1, playing with his dick and getting away with it on "My Ding-a-Ling."

Mac Davis falls out of the top spot to #6, being a dick and getting away with it on "Baby, Don't Get Hooked on Me."

Apparently today KFRC is doing a "Casey Kasem Amer Top 40" marathon, currently in the middle of a replay from July 17, 1976!

"Geronimo's Cadillac"? Really? I'm surprised -- a lost classic (from before Murphy "went country") about the mistreatment of Native Americans. Hardly a song to hate. The Cassidy I don't remember at all; I'll get back to you after I hear it tonite.
