no thread yet but I'm assuming this is what we're getting.
-
"Time to get spooky with 10 for Halloween"
-
The Peak never does "theme" sets, and today was no different, but it was 1968 and they played the Supersession cover of "Season of the Witch" which was nice to hear for a change, since you most often get Donovan or Auger/Driscoll.

KPFA played the Richard Thompson version last night. Amazing

10@10:05? SmashPumps "Landslide" just starting now.
-
"This is Halloween" - Danny Elfman.

I'm expecting mostly the same ol' same ol' (Bobby Boris Pickett, Donovan, Screamin' Jay, Johnny Otis, and the Danny Elfman track we're hearing now) but it'd be nice to get one or two surprises. Trick or treat?
ETA: Well, that didn't take long. BOS to Johnny Cash's take on Long Black Veil.

#3. Ministry Every Day is Halloween
Not a bustout, iirc, but not a usual suspect either. So far so good -- I'm liking this.
-
OK, we knew it was coming:
4. BBP, Monster Mash
Btw, someone in AL's request thread requested Munster Mash. Harrumph.
Tennis shoe!
-
5. Michael Jackson (w/ Vincent Price) -- Thriller
6. Screamin' Jay Hawkins -- I Put a Spell On You
And the evergreens just keep on comin'...
-
7. (Clip: "I see dead people") > Donovan -- Season of the Witch
-
8. The Sonics -- The Witch
Another rarity, not sure if it qualifies as a bustout. BOS2 and props for a product of the Pacific Northwest.
-
Now we're talking!
9. The Cramps -- I Was a Teenage Werewolf (BOS3!!!)
-
And tune #10....
Bauhaus -- Bela Lugosi's Dead
One more BOS for the road.
All in all a pretty respectable mix of FFs and lesser-heard tunes.
ETA: The "giggling" at the end of the backsell today sounded decidedly forced. Is the PD requiring a certain amount of jollity per set now too?

It's scary how many bands decided to cover that song.

I got called in to a meeting after song #1.

it was indeed a bustout, as was the Johnny Cash, and the Cramps tune has only made one other appearance (in the first AL era).
