Thans Dave. My hopes weren't set this high.
Moodies rule!
-
Nice lead off--heard that drum intro and my heart leapt. Proxy of Shray for the Moodies.
-
HM to Moodies. Haven't heard Dave play "Put It Where You Want It" in a very long time. Maybe he had a good weekend.

What is that soundbite with the strange burping sound followed by chanting...something...like "eat three bears tonight, eat three bears tonight."
-

BOS Keith, Greg & Carl "From The Beginning"

it's "TV Party tonight!" -- Black Flag, iirc. Dave plays it frequently before TV themes ot clips.

You are correct, sir! Here's the full lyrics for the bored:
T.V. PARTY TONIGHT
T.V. PARTY TONIGHT
T.V. PARTY TONIGHT
T.V. PARTY TONIGHT
WE'RE GONNA HAVE A T.V. PARTY TONIGHT...ALRIGHT
WE'RE GONNA HAVE A T.V. PARTY ...ALRIGHT...TONIGHT
WE'VE GOT NOTHING BETTER TO DO,
THAN WATCH T.V. AND HAVE A COUPLE OF BREWS
EVERYBODY'S GONNA HANG OUT HERE TONIGHT...ALRIGHT
WE'LL PASS OUT ON THE COUCH ALRIGHT...TONIGHT
WE'VE GOT NOTHING BETTER TO DO,
THAN WATCH T.V. AND HAVE A COUPLE OF BREWS
DON'T TALK ABOUT ANYTHING ELSE...WE DON'T WANT TO KNOW
WE'RE DEDICATED TO OUR FAVORITE SHOWS
WE SIT GLUED TO THE T.V. ALL NIGHT...AND EVERY NIGHT
WHY GO INTO THE OUTSIDE WORLD AT ALL...IT'S SUCH A FRIGHT
WE'VE GOT NOTHING BETTER TO DO THAN WATCH T.V. AND
HAVE A COUPLE OF BREWS
T.V. NEWS SHOWS WHAT IT'S LIKE OUT THERE...IT'S A SCARE
YOU CAN GO OUT...IF YOU WANT...WE WOULDN'T DARE!
WE'VE GOT NOTHING BETTER TO DO THAN WATCH T.V.
AND HAVE A COUPLE OF BREWS
DON'T TALK ABOUT ANYTHING ELSE...WE DON'T WANT TO KNOW
WE'RE DEDICATED TO OUR FAVORITE SHOWS
I WOULDN'T BE WITHOUT MY T.V. FOR A DAY...OR EVEN A MINUTE!
I DON'T BOTHER TO USE MY BRAIN ANYMORE...
THERE'S NOTHING LEFT IN IT
WAIT A MINUTE MY T.V. SET DOESN'T WORK
IT'S BROKEN!
WHAT ARE WE GONNA DO TONIGHT
THIS ISN'T FAIR
WE'RE HURTIN'!
WE'VE GOT NOTHING LEFT TO DO
LEFT WITH NO T.V. JUST A COUPLE BREWS
WHAT ARE WE GONNA TALK ABOUT...I DON'T KNOW
WE'RE GONNA MISS OUR FAVORITE SHOWS
NO T.V. PARTY TONIGHT.

put it where you want it and then do it again -- hmm. Gaz's theory may be right!
Well, Jose got a birthday set on Friday--maybe he expressed his gratitude most profoundly.

ROTFL! Dave believed a piece was at hand.
-
WHOA!!! BOS, and maybe Best of Week, to Manassas, "It Doesn't Matter."
-
OMG! BOS Stills/Manassas -- this has been an enjoyable set, but this is the closest to a rarity, unless I missed something.
-

And the segue into "I Saw the Light" was marvelously seamless. He had to have practiced that.
-
Todd's "Light" surely gets full-blown Katrina status now, no?
-
I'm just a singer in a rock 'n' roll band. It doesn't matter. I saw the light. Do it again, from the beginning. Put it where you want it!
-
BOS2 "White Lies"-- from Rundgren to Lofgren.
-
Todd's "Light" surely gets full-blown Katrina status now, no?
no. I still enjoy hearing it.
Is this Nils?

Yes.
Great set!

Todd's "Light" surely gets full-blown Katrina status now, no?
It will now have qualified, but Grin was already ahead of it & now still is.
-
"It takes two hands to handle a Whopper" - Dave DEFINITELY has sex on the brain.

Really? wow, I would NOT have guessed that.
OMFG! BOS3 Luther Ingram!!!
-
And BOS3 to "If Lovin' You Is Wrong (I Don't Want to Be Right)." Can't decide if I like this or Millie Jackson's version better.
-
"It takes two hands to handle a Whopper" - Dave DEFINITELY has sex on the brain.
Dang.
If loving you is wrong, I don't wanna be right.
-
Now here's a rarity: BOS3 (after Todd and Nils) Luther Ingram's (If Loving You Is Wrong) I Don't Want to Be Right.
-
"It takes two hands to handle a Whopper" - Dave DEFINITELY has sex on the brain.
I don't wanna know who was handling whose. And now "If Loving You Is Wrong". Hrm.

Neither -- Barbara Mandrell's kicks butt!

-
That set left Dave...breathlesssssahhhhh.

I think somebody slipped some Viagra into his coffee this morning.
-
OMFG! BOS3 Luther Ingram!!!
Neither Manassas nor Luther Ingram appear anywhere in my Db, with any song.
Give Dave extra credit.
-
Bonus: we get ABB, "Ain't Wastin' Time" because the Foghead said (and I quote): "Anything but the Stones".
-
too bad; sounds like a good set. '72 was the first full year living in SF for me.

UPDATE: We are right that Dave had some 'company' this weekend, but it wasn't Jose. See his blog for the scoop.
