Wed 2/24/10: 1968!

The Who - Magic Bus
Creedence Clearwater Revival - Suzie Q. (Part One)
Elvis Presley - A Little Less Conversation
Bob Seger System - Ramlbin' Gamblin' Man
Jimi Hendrix Experience - Little Wing
Beatles - Back in the U.S.S.R.
Blood, Sweat & Tears - I Can't Quit Her
Cream - White Room
Doors - Five to One
Jose Feliciano - Light My Fire

TANC: Bob plays the Doors tune I referenced yesterday. And then segs into Jose F's "Light My Fire" -- nicely done, sir! And funny how Elvis' once-forgotten "...Conversation" is now known to twentysomethings everywhere.  A very nice assortment overall.

BOS2 BS&T, pre-DCT.

BOS3 Jose F -- one of the most inspired covers ever.  Rhetta Hughes' soul version of Feliciano's arrangement the following year is worth seeking out.

Thur 2/25/10: 1983

Todd Rundgren - Bang The Drum All Day
Huey Lewis & the News - The Heart of Rock & Roll
David Bowie - Modern Love
Heart - How Can I Refuse
Robert Plant - Big Log
Def Leppard - Photograph
Elton John - I'm Still Standing
Kinks - Come Dancing
ZZ Top - Legs
The Fixx - Saved By Zero

I'm so excited that "I'm Still Standing" gets played by Bob on a semi-regular basis. He knows when to go out (of the playlist), he knows when to stay in.

Fri 2/26/10: 1973

Aerosmith - Dream On
Pink Floyd - Breathe
Ringo Starr - You're 16
Paul McCartney & Wings - Band on the Run
Bruce Springsteen - For You
Four Tops - Ain't No Woman
Emerson, Lake & Palmer - Karn Evil #9
John Denver - Rocky Mountain High
The Who - The Real Me
Billy Joel - Piano Man

Very tired of hearing "Dream On" in both '73 and '76 sets (and KFOG played it at 6am today). But hooray for the One-Eyed Gott and kudos on playing ELP back-to-back with John Denver.
